At Christmas time, a beautiful Norway Spruce or Douglas Fir tree, dominating a corner of a lounge or living room is the obvious main attraction. With a star or angel perched precariously on top and adorned with twinkly, sparkly fairy lights, festooned with silvery tinsel and decorated with shiny baubles and traditional trinkets, the tree is a “must” for the season of goodwill. However, for an additional focal point, a multi-fuel wood burning stove comes a very close second and complements a beautiful tree just perfectly. A glowing fire can easily be seen through the glass door at the front of the cast iron stove. A woven basket full of chopped logs and a copper scuttle filled with coal to the side of the hearth completes the traditional look.
