What Will An Asbestos Roofing Replacement Service Do For a Property?
Posted on December 28, 2014 at 9:34 am
While asbestos had been heavily promoted as an amazing material for taking care of home and business construction needs, it has clearly become dangerous as it can get into anyone’s body and cause serious lung difficulties. This is why many roofing companies around the UK can help to replace roof surfaces that had been made with asbestos materials. Several things may be done as a means of taking care of such a surface.
A Survey Works First
A proper survey may be conducted by an asbestos roofing replacement service at the beginning. The survey is typically designed to help take a closer look at how well the surface is treated and if the asbestos is at risk of spreading at will. A full review can also help to see what strategies may be used as a means of removing the asbestos in a spot if necessary. (more…)

A Christmas focal point
Posted on December 24, 2014 at 10:30 am
At Christmas time, a beautiful Norway Spruce or Douglas Fir tree, dominating a corner of a lounge or living room is the obvious main attraction. With a star or angel perched precariously on top and adorned with twinkly, sparkly fairy lights, festooned with silvery tinsel and decorated with shiny baubles and traditional trinkets, the tree is a “must” for the season of goodwill. However, for an additional focal point, a multi-fuel wood burning stove comes a very close second and complements a beautiful tree just perfectly. A glowing fire can easily be seen through the glass door at the front of the cast iron stove. A woven basket full of chopped logs and a copper scuttle filled with coal to the side of the hearth completes the traditional look. Carefully arrange cut pieces of holly laden with berries, tendrils of ivy and small branches of fir along the top of the mantelpiece and the Christmas look is complete. Of course, once January 6th has passed and the room seems so bare with the Christmas tree moved outside and the decorations stored for another year, the cast iron stove once again becomes the main focal point of the room, emitting a lovely warm glow and belting out a scorching heat all the way through dismal January
