Flat roofing is the covering for any building that helps protect it dealing with the uncertain weather. It is usually horizontal with a little slope known as pitch to allow the drainage. The sheet that usually covers the roof is called membrane which provides complete waterproofing.
Mostly flat roofing in UK was done using tar but modern flat roofing now include materials like EPDM synthetic rubber, Asphalt, turbo seal, PVC and the most popular Cold applied liquid membranes providing continuous waterproofing, It is awarded as the most durable flat roofing by British Board of agreement(BBA).Flat roofing requires proper maintenance. They must be inspected after heavy storms and rains fixing the creases or bents to avoid water penetration through small spaces leading to various health problems resulting in breathing spores.

They are now also very popular in houses for recreational uses like rooftop gardens to enjoy the weather as well as perfect for green roof planting schemes.
